Thermal imaging sight Vector Optics Owlset HEIM ES X-Nano XPD Mini Wi-Fi

The thermal scope Vector Optics Owlset HEIM ES X-Nano XPD Mini Wi-Fi is a compact thermal sight designed for short and medium distances. It combines a thermal imaging module, aiming optics and intuitive controls in a durable body suitable for tactical, service and sporting use. This version also includes a Wi-Fi module that allows you to connect to and control the device via a mobile phone.

Thermal imaging system

The scope uses a 19 mm lens with a detection range of up to 600 meters and a 12 μm thermal sensor with a resolution of 256x192 px and a 50 Hz refresh rate, which evaluates temperature differences of objects and converts them to a 1.4" touch display.

The display provides a clear image with 6 selectable color palettes (cold color, iron red, rainbow, hot iron, black hot, white hot). The user can also choose between 10 reticle types with a total of 5 colors.

The sight features 0.5x optical magnification to ensure a wide field of view, which can then be 2x digitally magnified to a natural 1x image. Thanks to its fast start-up, the device is ready for use shortly after being switched on.

Functions such as Hotspot, automatic shut-off when idle, the ability to record video and take photos, automatic and manual shutter calibration and much more are included as standard.

Construction and durability

The body of the thermal sight is made of durable aluminum alloy, achieves an IP66 protection rating and withstands the recoil of common calibers (equivalent to 1000G). In addition, it can operate in extreme temperatures from -20°C to +60°C.

Mounting system

The ES X-Nano series is adapted for mounting on pistols with an ACRO footprint (Vector Optics refers to it as VOD), or the sight can be installed on a standard Picatinny / Weaver rail using the supplied adapter.

Power supply and runtime

The thermal sight is powered by a 16280 battery (3 pcs included), which can be charged directly in the device via a USB-C port, or in the supplied 2-slot charger. The device can operate for up to 3.5 hours, which can be further extended by activating the automatic shut-off function when idle (5, 10, 20 and 30 minutes).

Wi-Fi connectivity

This XPD (VEOT-RSS08) model is additionally equipped with integrated Wi-Fi, which, compared to the STD (VEOT-RS08) model, offers more convenient device control via smartphone, including live preview and the option of video recording via the connected mobile device. The Owlset app is compatible with both Android and iOS systems.
